Continuing on with the weekly theme of Christmas and Animals, I decided to use the "Dasher" Set from Stampin Up! #116816.  I love this stamp! I was wanted to make a wintery scene.  So, with our "Shimmery White" card stock, I used a sponging technique and created a gray sky with various colors of ink.  ( Basic Gray, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand, River Rock.)  Dasher is stamped in Early Espresso ink. The circle was cut on the Big Shot using the 3" Circle Die.  I then stamped the tree images in Old Olive. I used one of my tried and true favorites "Lovely As A Tree" #115026. This was starting to take shape! The Seasons greetings Sentiment is from the "Four The Holidays" set #116921.  I matted the card in River Rock and Early Espresso card stock.  Almost there. You have to accessorize right?  You will notice the super cute !/8" taffetta ribbon in Very Vanilla and, the Basic Rhinestones and Very Vanilla brads to balance it out.  So there you have it.  I really enjoyed making it and hope you enjoyed it too!

Pictures From Stampin Up! Stamp Camp

Good morning everyone.  I would like to share a few pictures of the Stamp Camp that I participated in last weekend at the Blue Water Storage Facility.  There are tons of details and lots of work that go into these events.  I couldn't be more proud and thankful to everyone who participated!

 

We had such a nice time!

Blue Water storage is so gracious to let us use their space.  They are offering discounts on rentals if anyone is interested.  Just mention Stampin Up!

We had 3 tables full of raffle prizes and door prizes.  

I have not heard yet how much money was raised for the local chapter of Civitan, who helps our community in many ways including a focus on Autism.

This is a picture of ladies working hard at my table.  Linda D. on the right liked my card so much she decided to order everything needed to make it.  Now thats a nice compliment!

Thank you to everyone who attended our event!  We had over 90 stampers show their love of cardmaking.

This event is a benefit event for Arlington Civitan Club. The Arlington Civitan Club has sponsored lunches, chair rentals and volunteered for every benefit we have hosted, plus has donated to the charity. We hope to help them in their quest for a better community and to help Autism.

 

Raffle Prizes: We will have door prizes and be selling raffle tickets again for $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00. Prizes include gift certificates to restaurants, hotels, spas, and more.

If you can’t attend (or purchase a kit) the tickets are $2 or 3 for $5

Gently Falling Fall Card

Fall is finally arriving in Jacksonville Florida!   Yea!

 I love how these turned out. I saw something similar to this made by Linda Wiese and it inspired me to pull out the new Spice Cake Designer Series paper.  So, my lucky Hostess club will be making this card tomorrow night as one of their projects.

GIVEAWAY CHALLENGE At Card A Day Blog (Christmas Card Blog Hop)

 

Welcome to the CADB Christmas Blog Hop! In celebration of World Card Making Day.  You may be arriving from Cindy's post from The Creative Pointe.  I hope you enjoyed it.  Here is a little more inspiration for you!

My card and matching envelope was made by using 2 stamp sets, Welcome Christmas and En Francais' from SU!  (I love the idea of an envelope liner.  Its a small thing but makes a big impact.) The Designer Series Paper is called Spice Cake and is in the Holiday Mini.

I began by using a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of Soft Suede folded in half as the card base.  I then layered the 4" x 5 1/4" striped DSP.  I stamped EnFancais' script (I love this stamp) on Very Vanilla.  Then, on top of that I stamped the family tree image using Versamark clear ink.  I embossed this with Basic Black embossing powder. I layered this on another piece of Soft Suede.  The ribbon is the new Crumb Cake 3/8" Taffeta.  I used the Antique Brads to add a touch of interest on the bow.
