Halloween Witches and Bats!

If you have arrived here from the "Card A Day Blog"....Welcome!  I hope you will stay and take a look around.  If you are a Stamping At The White House follower, and haven't visited the Card A Day Blog, check it out.  I am one of the designers and will be sharing there periodically.

Following the Halloween theme, I made a quick and fun card.

Supplies needed: (All Stampin Up! unless otherwise noted)

Wicked Cool stamp set, clear-120600-$14.95, wood-118738-$19.95

Frightful Sight Designer Paper-122351-$10.95

Card Stock: $6.95- Cajun Craze-119684, Cherry Cobbler-119685, Old Olive-100701, Basic Black-121045,  Whisper White-100730 $8.50

Basic Black Classic Ink- 101179 $5.95

Markers: $3.50- Cajun Craze-119678, Cherry Cobbler- 119678, Old Olive- 105113

Punches: $16.95-Scallop Trim Border 118402, Scallop Edge Border 119882, Eyelet Border 119853

5/8" Black Satin Ribbon- 117285 - 15 yards- $8.95

Basic Rhinestone Jewels-119246 - 150 pcs- $4.95

Directions

Cut 2 pieces of Whisper White CS (cardstock) to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (folded for card base) and 4 1/8" x  5 3/8".  

Cut Basic Black to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".

Cut a 2" x  5 3/8" piece of the large polka dot  designer paper from the Fright Sight DSP.

Punch the Witches skirts from scraps of Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler, and Old Olive. (Trim sides with scissors to make sides look flaired.)

Now stamp the witches pointy shoes in Basic Black ink. Color in the stockings with markers of Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler and Old Oive to coordinate with polka dots.

Adhere self adhesive jewels.

Place polka dot paper on top half of 4 1/8 x 5 1/4" Whisper White cs.  Wrap strip of black satin ribbon around both sides adhere to back.  Then place a small piece under ribbon in front and tie in a knot.  Trim edges to a sharp angle.

Adhere this piece to the Basic Black piece and then the entire front to the card base.

Here is an added bonus for you!  So cute and fun to make.  I first saw a version of this bat from Monika Davis.  Great for a classroom gift or party favor!

Stampin Up! Supplies:

Stampin’ Up! Supplies:

Ink: Basic Black

Card Stock: Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White

Accessories: Big Shot Die-Cut Machine, Mini Milk Carton Bigz Die, Spider Web Embossing Folder, 1-1/4” Circle Punch, ½” Circle Punch, Bitty Shapes Punch Pack Circle, Two-Step Bird Punch, Brights Brads, Crop-a-Dile, Basic Black 1/8” Black Gingham Ribbon-Retired, Sticky Strip

Directions: Using your Big Shot and the Mini Milk Carton Die, cut 2 milk cartons.  Remove the end panel (the one with out the tab) from each piece.  The center panel is now missing a score line at the top so you will need to add that with a bone folder for it to fold easily.  Now connect the 2 pieces together by adding sticky strip to the bottoms and tabs making a 6 panel long strip.  Fold and connect bottoms attaching opposite tabs to each other to form body.

Cut a 2 x 3 piece of Basic Black card stock.  Now cut it in half crosswise.  Place both pieces inside the Spider Web Embossing Folder and run through Big Shot.  Now, with the raised embossed side facing you, arrange them on each side of the bat body. Using the 1 1/4 Circle punch cut 3 shallow circles on the bottom of each wing. Place double sided sticky strip on short side and attact wings to body.

Create eyes by punching 1/2 " circle punch and Bitty Shapes Punch Pack Circle and brads.  The fangs were punched from the tail of the bird from the 2-Step bird punch.

Fold all angles at the top.  Punch small circle in each section to weave ribbon through. Tie into a bow and your are done!

Christmas Card Club

 Hey Ladies,

Our Christmas Card Club will have its first work night on Oct 13th.  That means that if you are planning to order supplies, the order should be to me on the 4th of Oct.  So....just a gentle reminder but you might want to start planning for this!  

I am able to help you design your card if you let me know.  I will give you 3 options for $10.  If you know your design but just need help with figuring supplies just call me or email me and I will be happy to help.  This goes for any of you out of town ladies that would like help with your cards.  Maybe we could have a virtual work night too!

I was thinking that it would be fun to have a few....treats to eat....or drinks to sip on just to put us in the mood.  Sound good?  RSVP as soon as you can and we can brainstorm!

 

Wedding Announcements, Invitations, RSVP's, Favors, and Thank you notes

The question has been asked and answered. The date has been chosen. The Bride’s Magazine and the Bride’s Planner have been purchased. Now it is time to get down to the details. It’s all about your wedding.

Upcoming Events At The White House

New events have been scheduled for the next several months.  (it all looks good on paper but I might have to look into hiring staff. ha ha)  The pictures above are of the samples for the "Christmas Lane Mini Scrapbook Camp".  It is scheduled for Dec 4th.  I have all the information available for you on my events calendar.  All you need to do is look in the left hand column for the picture of a calendar and then click on it.  Also,.....

 

This is a picture for another camp that I am hosting on both Sunday October 23rd or Monday Oct 24th.  This camp is designed to help you get ready for the Holidays.  You will make 8 holiday cards cards, 4 mini notes, 4 tags and a coordinating card folder with pen.  Whew!  This should be a great time!!  Again, all of the details are on my event calendar so check it out.  Be sure to register as soon as you can.  I have had alot of interest in this one.
